Joint Commission Proposes Changes to Ambulatory Care PCMH Certification Program

The Joint Commission is seeking input on proposed revisions to the patient-centered medical home certification program for ambulatory care organizations.

The Joint Commission proposed new and revised requirements to the certification program, which was launched in July 2011. Several changes align with CMS' meaningful use program for health IT.


Comments on the proposed revisions are due April 22.
