CDC's Infection Detection Program Would Get $40M Under 2014 Budget

The federal budget proposal for fiscal year 2014 allocates $40 million for a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention infection detection program, according to a report by the Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology.

A CDC fact sheet shows a $432 million requested budget for emerging and zoonotic infectious diseases — a $70 million increase from the fiscal year 2012 budget.
