APIC Announces Infection Prevention and Control Film Festival

The Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology has announced it will hold a film festival focusing on infection prevention and control at its annual 2011 conference.

APIC is accepting submissions, and one winning entry will receive complimentary registration to the conference.

"We are excited to launch this video competition and believe it will add a lively new dimension to our meeting," said APIC 2011 Annual Conference Chair Vickie Brown, RN, MPH, CIC, according to an APIC news release. "We hope our members will be inspired to share best practices in infection prevention, stories of those personally affected by healthcare-associated infections, or personal reflections on these issues."

Any video telling a story about infection prevention is eligible, with entries judged on their interest to the infection prevention community, creativity, inspirational qualities, originality and quality of production.
