The recommended practices are designed to help perioperative registered nurses implement standard and transmission-based precautions and best practices for bloodborne pathogens, personal protective equipment, immunization and emergency preparedness. The recommended practices also include strategies for ongoing education, policies and procedures, documentation and more.
