The demand for infection prevention products and services will continue to expand through 2025, according to a Freedonia report.
Here are four things to know:
1. Despite hospital-acquired infections decreasing, the overall HAI rate is well above the CDC target.
2. The continual pressure to reduce HAIs will contribute to market growth.
3. Improving quality standards in life science research as well as pharmaceutical and medical device production facilities will fuel market growth.
4. The report found protective apparel and textiles will account for the largest market share of infection prevention supplies due to healthcare facilities' efforts to limit HAIs and providers using these supplies in invasive procedures.
