The Joint Commission released several tools as part of the United for Patient Safety Campaign and in honor of Patient Safety Awareness Week.
Patient Safety Awareness Week is March 13 to 19. Here are the tools provided:
1. Speak Up: The program includes infographics, animated videos, brochures and posters that are free to download and can be translated into Spanish. The material focuses on various aspects of patient safety, including antibiotics and fall risk.
2. Targeted Solutions Tool for Preventing Falls: This tool guides organizations through a fall projection program with the ability to analyze and discover the cause of falls, implement targeted solutions and help the organization sustain improvements.
3. Oro 2.0 High Reliability Assessment & Resources: The Joint Commission Center for Transforming Healthcare's online tool is designed to guide leadership through safety culture and performance improvement.
4. The Joint Commission Journal on Quality and Patient Safety: The journal includes articles on patient safety and quality, case studies and other important updates for patient safety.
