3 universities partner to research global health challenges: 5 insights

Tempe-based Arizona State University, King's College London and Sydney-based University of New South Wales Australia are NY state health officials discuss Zika virus in an online information session for physicians: 3 points the PLuS Alliance.  

Here are five insights:

1. The PLuS Alliance will lead research to address global challenges in health, sustainability, social justice and innovation.

2. Online educational programs will complement the research.

3. The alliance will begin on Feb. 9 in London and include more than 60 fellows.

4. Fellows can receive a Master's degree in science of healthcare delivery, infectious diseases intelligence and sustainability leadership.

5. "Key to solving the challenges facing humankind will be greater access to education so that talented men and women around the world can acquire the training and knowledge needed to join a workforce that operates across cultures and borders," said Michael Crow, PhD, president, Arizona State University.
