The 3 signs of burnout all ASC administrators should watch out for

Even when surgery centers are doing well, it can be easy for ASC administrators to feel burned out, according to Alpharetta, Ga.-based Surgical Information Systems.

Ann Geier, RN, chief nursing officer at Surgical Information Systems, shared on SIS' blog the top three warning signs administrators may be experiencing burnout:

1. Outgrowing a position. When an ASC administrator's daily routine begins to feel tedious or uninteresting, it may be time for an administrator to move on to a different position.

2. Feeling trapped. Staying engaged in the everyday operations of the ASC can be difficult for ASC administrators who feel burnt out.

3. Questioning position or career. When ASC administrators find themselves questioning the career path they decided to take, it may be time for them to reevaluate their career options.
