SCA Q2 net income hits $5.7M, up 25.1%; AmSurg adds 4 ASCs in Q2 & more — 7 key notes on ASC companies

Here are seven updates on ASC management companies:

Surgical Care Affiliates' net income attributable to SCA hit $5.7 million during the second quarter of 2016, up 25.1 percent from the same period of 2015.

During the second quarter, Medical Facilities Corp.'s income from continuing operations reached $13.8 million, a 13.9 percent decrease from $16 million during the second quarter last year.

AmSurg acquired four ASCs during the second quarter. The company disposed of two ASCs and deconsolidated one ASC during the quarter and had four ASCs under letter of intent as of June 30, 2016, three of which have now been purchased and one of which is under development.

For the first half of 2016, Surgery Partners' total revenue reached $556.8 million, a 21.8 percent increase from $457 million during the same period of 2015.

During the second quarter, case volume at Nobilis Health facilities increased 5.4 percent to 4,863 cases.

Tenet Healthcare expects revenue to fall between $19.5 billion and $19.8 billion for 2016.

During the week of Aug. 8 to Aug. 12, Hospital Corporation of America shares rallied 1.1 percent, reaching $76.64 per share.
