Although the parties don't agree on the best method to reduce healthcare costs, Republican and Democratic voters both believe lowering healthcare costs is a priority.
Reuters conducted an online poll from Dec. 14 to Dec. 18.
Here are five things to know:
1. The poll found 62 percent of Republican voters view healthcare costs as a priority, roughly the same as Democratic voters (67 percent).
2. Overall, 62 percent of voters said they want to know the presidential candidates' plans for lowering healthcare costs.
3. On the list of concerns, the only topic surpassing healthcare was national security. Sixty-seven percent of voters want to know more information about how the presidential candidates plan to keep America safe.
4. Nearly 40 percent of respondents said their healthcare costs increased in the last year.
5. More than 30 percent of respondents spent more money on prescriptions this year than last year.
