Albia, Iowa-based Monroe County Hospital posted $3.7 million in gross revenue in May, driven largely by outpatient surgeries, Albia Newspapers reports.

1. The hospital performed 65 surgeries in May, with 64 of those surgeries in outpatient settings.

2. The hospital's outpatient clinic saw 426 patients in May, compared to 377 patients in the same month last year.

3. In 2019, the hospital saw 4,080 outpatient visits through May, compared to 3,817 in the same time last year.

4. Hospital CEO Veronica Fuhs said the critical access hospital was on pace with other national facilities.
