Maine has the least punitive state medical boards, according to a new WalletHub ranking.
WalletHub compared the 50 states and the District of Columbia across two dimensions: "opportunity and competition” and "medical environment." The rankings were based on analysis of 18 metrics, which were each graded on a 100-point scale.
Five states with the least punitive medical boards:
1. Maine
2. Washington, D.C.
3. Massachusetts
4. Connecticut
5. Hawaii

47. Nevada (tie)
47. Ohio (tie)
49. Wyoming
50. Kentucky
51. Delaware
