Hawaii surgery center celebrates 10 years

Kona Ambulatory Surgery Center in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii, is celebrating its 10-year anniversary, according to Big Island Now.

KASC is owned by Kona Community Hospital and has 54 providers on staff. Physicians at the ASC specialize in gastroenterology, orthopedic surgery, gynecology, ophthalmology and podiatry.

KASC was started by two surgeons and was entirely physician-owned before being acquired by Kona Community Hospital.
