Arizona ASCA members assemble 2.4K kits for foster children

The Arizona Ambulatory Surgery Center Association devoted time to helping foster children during its annual meeting, June 28 to 29 in Scottsdale, Ariz., Scottsdale Independent reports.

AASCA members donated materials and put together 2,400 kits for Arizona Helping Hands, a nonprofit dedicated to providing assistance for children in foster care.

The kits included shampoo, body wash, toothbrushes and other items intended help foster children transition to new homes.

"We see every day the trauma caused to children who end up in the foster care system. It's important for us to give back to help these kids, and this partnership with Arizona Helping Hands was a great opportunity to use our time, talent and treasure to make a difference in these kids' lives," said incoming AASCA President Kim Vandeven.
