New York is the worst state for practicing medicine, according to a new WalletHub ranking.
WalletHub compared the 50 states and Washington, D.C., across two dimensions: "opportunity and competition” and "medical environment." The rankings were based on analysis of 18 metrics, which were each graded on a 100-point scale.
The five states that ranked the lowest:
51. New York
50. Washington, D.C.
49. Rhode Island
48. New Jersey
47. Connecticut
