Nashville, Tenn.-based HCA Healthcare is the largest U.S. health system as measured by net patient revenue, according to TrialSite News.

2. The company manages 184 hospitals and 125 freestanding surgery centers, according to its latest earnings report. In total, it manages about 2,000 sites of care with a team of more than 38,000 medical staff members.
3. HCA Healthcare is the 67th-largest publicly traded corporation in the U.S.
4. As of 2018, the organization had 50 hospitals and 31 surgery centers in Florida, as well as 53 hospitals in Texas and 13 hospitals in Tennessee.
5. The Sarah Cannon Research Institute became HCA Healthcare's clinical trials research arm in 2010. Last year, HCA Healthcare patients were offered 500-plus clinical trials.
