2 sentenced for conspiring to steal hydrocodone, oxycodone

A Kentucky couple has been sentenced to two years and 9 months in prison for conspiring to steal hydrocodone and oxycodone from a pharmacy to sell.

Ashley Ramsey-Wilmoth, 41, an employee of retail pharmacy Century Medicines, took unopened bottles of oxycodone and hydrocodone prior to being made available for retail purchase, according to a Jan. 8 news release from the Justice Department. She then provided the drugs to her husband, Stephen Wilmoth, 46, to sell and distribute.

The pair were also fined $2,500 and ordered to pay $18,728 in restitution.
