Mississippi is the least expensive state to live in, according to a Nov. 1 report from Forbes.
Researchers compiled a cost of living index based on monthly living expenses, including housing and utilities, transportation, healthcare and groceries. The average cost of living index is 100.
Here are the least expensive states for physicians to live in:
