The American Medical Association has recognized 72 health systems nationwide for their dedication to physician well-being, awarding 10 systems with a "gold level" recognition.
The distinction honors health systems that have shown a commitment to addressing the systemic causes of physician burnout in areas such as commitment, assessment, leadership, teamwork, peer support and practice-environment efficiency, according to an Oct. 4 release.
Twenty-six health systems received a "silver" recognition and 36 received a "bronze" recognition. In 2022, only 28 organizations were selected.
