Surgery Center Network, a comprehensive network of ambulatory surgery centers in the United States, announced that its partner Caprock Health Group completed two significant acquisitions last year.
Caprock is a third-party administrator of health benefits and recently acquired the TPA division of Employee Benefit Services, which serves self-funded employer health plans in the San Antonio region. Last July, the company also announced the acquisition of Verity National Group, an established health plan service company based in San Antonio.
In 2014, Caprock will implement SCN's services for its customers.
"As our TPA partners grow, our provider partners gain more direct access to the incremental case volume and revenue needed to succeed in this challenging healthcare environment," said President of SCN Jeff Blankinship. "As a leading TPA, the self-funded employer group clients who will now receive Caprock's services will greatly benefit from their vast experience and expertise. We are looking forward to providing SCN's services to these new Caprock clients."
Mr. Blankinship is also founder of Surgical Notes.
