The Large Urology Group Practice Association sent a letter to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services in opposition to the Medicare revisions to payment policies under the physician fee schedule, clinical laboratory fee schedule and other revisions to part B proposed rule.
The organization warned that capping payment for physician services at outpatient prospective payment systems or ambulatory surgery centers would diminish access to care. The organization also opposes substantial disparity in reimbursement between fluorescent in situ hybridization testing for urine specimens compared to other body fluid.
