Jud Neal has officially assumed the position of Healthcare Billing & Management Association's board president.
Last year Mr. Neal was selected as president-elect after first becoming a board member in 2009. He currently serves as president and CEO of Physicians Business Network. Mr. Neal has also served on HBMA's executive committee as treasurer and vice president, as well as on the government relations, education and ICD-10 committees.
As president he plans to focus on lobbying lawmakers on HBMA-relevant issues and marketing the association to prospective members, among other duties, according to the release.
Mr. Neal received his MBA from Rockhurst College in Kansas City, Mo., and completed the Stafford (Calif.) Executive Program.
