Develop a physician champion to be a proponent of the ICD-10 implementation and work with other physicians. Surgeons often respond best to physician-to-physician education.
Experts also recommend breaking training down in small pieces that are more likely to stick, rather than making physicians and staff members sit through one eight-hour training seminar.
