Coders can maximize payments by being meticulous about their documentation practices, according to Sean McSweeney, founder and president of Los Angeles-based medical billing company Apache Health.
Mr. McSweeney shared the following tip with Becker's ASC Review.
"Paying very close attention to the anatomic details while coding an op report ensures that every billable portion of the report gets captured and thereby yields the maximum possible reimbursement."
