CMS may reconsider its decision not to conduct ICD-10 end-to-end testing with physician offices, according to a Medpage Today report.
The decision change could stem from the troubles with the Healthcare.gov site rollout.
Previously, CMS thought its current testing would be sufficient prior to the ICD-10 code implementation. However, groups, such as the Medical Group Management Association, have publically called for testing with physician practices to decrease the chance for complications.
Talks to reconsider end-to-end testing came at the ICD-10 stakeholder collaborating meeting Tuesday.
