Forbes has released its annual Global 2000, a ranking of the world's largest companies based on metrics including sales, profits, assets and market value.
One hundred insurance companies spread across the U.S., China, Germany, France and Switzerland, including several payers, made this year's list.
Six U.S. payers named to the Global 2000 and their 12-month revenues:
15. UnitedHealth Group: $336 billion
65. CVS (parent company of insurer Aetna): $331 billion
68. Cigna: $183 billion
78. Elevance Health: $161 billion
201. Humana: $96 billion
259. Centene: $146 billion
