The Los Angeles-based Ambulatory Surgery Center at Orthopaedic Institute for Children recently was accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care.

1. The OIC was the first center built in Los Angeles to provide orthopedic outpatient surgical care to children.

3. The OIC is 13,000 square feet and it houses two operating rooms and six pre- and post-surgical suites in a child-friendly environment.
4. The center is staffed by physicians and other professionals trained to address the needs of children.
