AAAASF Names Dr. Geoffrey Keyes New Board President

The American Association for the Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities has announced that preeminent plastic surgeon Geoffrey R. Keyes, MD, FACS, has been elected the association's new board president.

Dr. Keyes previously served as secretary, treasurer and vice president on AAAASF's board and assumes the presidency held by Harlan Pollock, MD.

Dr. Keyes is a recognized authority on issues of patient safety and has performed many roles and chaired many committees, with an emphasis on advancing and upholding AAAASF accreditation as the "gold standard."

"Dr. Keyes has played a vital role in AAAASF's pursuit of surgical excellence and our ongoing commitment to patient safety," said Dr. Pollock. "We are proud to have someone with Dr. Keyes' national reputation assume the presidency of our board."
