AAAASF elects Dr. William Rosenblatt to executive committee: 5 key notes

The American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities elected William B. Rosenblatt, MD, to the executive committee.

Here are five things to know about Dr. Rosenblatt:

1. He was elected to the executive committee on March 5 and has served on the board of directors for the past two years. He was appointed the new vice president of standards.

2. Dr. Rosenblatt is a plastic surgeon and served previously in elected positions on the Medical Society of the State of New York, New York County Medical Society and New York Regional Plastic Surgery Society.

3. In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Rosenblatt has been on the New York State Committee on Quality Assurance in Office-Based Surgery and the National Quality Forum’s Ambulatory and Office-Based Surgery Technical Advisory Panel for Serious Reportable Events in Healthcare.

4. Dr. Rosenblatt earned his medical degree from New York Medical College and completed a residency in plastic surgery at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York.

5. He has a background in leadership in patient safety and surgical expertise.
