4 best patient satisfaction care tips for ASCs

How can healthcare professionals maintain patient satisfaction while providing quality patient care? The following are four suggestions from the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care.

1. Document a patient visit the day it occurs to ensure accuracy of recorded information.

2. Always ask patients about allergies, allergic reactions and drug reactions. Then, document that data in an obvious and consistent place in all clinical records.

3. Communicate to patients that their time is valuable by referring to check-in as the "reception" area, rather than the "waiting room."

4. Provide patients with all relevant handouts. Make providing the handouts easy for all whose jobs it is to supply patients with information.
