The Joint Commission deletes requirement for deemed-status ASCs
The Joint Commission no longer requires ASCs with deemed status to collect data on medical appropriateness and necessity of procedures. The Joint Commission removed the requirement after CMS revised the regulatory language of its Conditions for Coverage for ASCs. Read more here.
Outpatient Ophthalmic Surgery Society launches beta test of ophthalmic ASC accreditation model
