Melville, N.Y.-based North American Partners in Anesthesia announced that Jana Janco, MD, was recently elected as the delegate of the American Medical Association Women's Physician Section.
Dr. Janco is an anesthesiologist at NAPA, and she is the first anesthesiologist to serve as delegate of the AMA Women Physicians Section. She will serve a two-year term, starting in June.
The AMA Women Physicians Section is comprised of more than 67,000 female members of the AMA. It aims to increase the number and influence of women physicians in leadership roles and to advocate for and advance the understanding of women's health issues.
