Pharmaceutical company Mylan received FDA approval for its Abbreviated New Drug Application for a generic drug, Etomidate Injection, according to iStockAnalyst.com.
Etomidate Injection is the generic version of Hospira's Amidate Injection, which is an intravenous general anesthesia.
The newly-approved drug has begun shipping in the United States. Sales for the last 12 months of Etomidate Injection, ending in March, were $6.58 million.
