ASA to Host Q&A With FDA Officials on Drug Shortages

The American Society of Anesthesiologists, along with senior officials from the FDA, will be hosting a telephone town hall meeting to talk about drug shortages, according to the ASA.

The meeting will take place Dec. 5 from 10 to 11 a.m., and ASA members who be able to ask FDA officials their drug shortage questions.

Speakers include several FDA officials from the Center for Drug Evaluation and Research, including Capt. Valerie Jensen, the director of the Drug Shortage Program; Bob Rappaport, MD, director of the Division of Anesthesia, Analgesia and Addiction Products; and Arthur Simone, MD, medical officer for the Division of Anesthesia, Analgesia and Addiction Products.
