The American Board of Pediatrics has named anesthesiologist David G. Nichols, MD, to the positions of president and CEO.
Dr. Nichols currently serves as a professor of education, anesthesiology and critical care medicine at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore, Md. Since joining the faculty in 1984, he has held numerous leadership posts at the school, including associate director of the anesthesiology and critical care residency education program and vice dean for education.
Dr. Nichols became a professor of anesthesiology and critical care medicine and pediatrics in 1998 and a professor of education in 2005.
