Anesthesia providers or groups aren't likely to receive the full 7 percent bonus for Merit-Based Incentive Payment System participation in 2019, according to Anesthesia Business Consultants President and CEO Tony Mira.
CMS considers excluding measures with a performance rate above 95 percent, which poses a challenge for high-performing anesthesia and pain management groups. Several widely reported measures are no longer eligible for reporting in 2019.
