Herrin, Ill.-based Southern Orthopedic Associates plans to add pain management services at its Metropolis, Ill.-based ASC.
1. Southern Orthopedic Associates applied for a permit to add pain management services at Massac County Surgery Center in Metropolis.
2. Massac County Surgery Center is currently approved to provide orthopedic and podiatric surgery services.
3. The pain management specialists who would refer patients to the ASC currently perform most of their cases about 12 miles away in Paducah, Ky.
4. SOA is seeking approval from the Illinois Health Facilities and Services Review Board.
