For the first time, retina specialists performing a majority of their cases in ambulatory surgery centers outnumber specialists who don't perform any cases in the ASC, according to the ASRS Preferences and Trends Survey as reported in Ocular Surgery News.
Additional highlights from the ASRS Preferences and Trends Survey include:
• 10.8 percent of respondents in the United States and Canada now report that they would use Eylea as first-line therapy for subfoveal CNV due to AMD
• 67 percent follow a treat-and-extend protocol in the management of wet AMD
