Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pa., opened its $1.4 million ophthalmology clinic last week at the Geisinger-Shamokin Area Community Hospital, according to a News-Item report.
The Geisinger Ophthalmology-Shamokin clinic is a 4,000-square-foot clinic with facilities to treat eye disorders and diseases such as cataracts, glaucoma, dry eye, corneal disease, retina disease, macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy.
The center is equipped with the latest diagnosis equipment, lasers and scanning tools.
