Alpharetta, Ga.-based Clearside Biomedical named Glenn Noronha, PhD, as executive vice president of research and development.
Dr. Noronha has worked in the pharmaceutical industry for 14 years and has conducted clinical and nonclinical research in ophthalmology and oncology, including retinal diseases.
Previously, Dr. Noronha was the vice president of research and development at Sucampo Pharma Americas and chief scientific officer for JW Theriac.
The ophthalmic company develops commercial therapies for eye diseases.
