A recent study showed cataract removal could improve vision and function of patients with retinitis pigmentosa, according to a Healio report.
Researchers looked at 80 eyes in 47 patients with RP who had cataract surgery. After 23 months, patients reported a mean vision improvement from 20/340 to 20/129.
