Central Maine Orthopaedics' ASC (Auburn). The surgery center added two new physicians in the last year. Matt Perkowski, DO, is a physical medicine and rehabilitation specialist, and Brian MacDonald, DPM, is a podiatrist focusing on conditions of the foot and ankle. Physicians perform 2,000 outpatient musculoskeletal procedures a year at CMO's surgery center. The center is accredited by AAAHC.
Orthopedics & Sports Institute of the Fox Valley ASC (Appleton, Wis.). The institute's surgery center recently added Padraic Obma, MD, to its medical staff. The institute includes nine physicians providing care for the full spectrum of musculoskeletal conditions including sports injuries. BioSpine Institute's surgical center (Tampa, Fla.). The ASC added two physicians in the last year. The surgical center, opened in 2014, is dedicated to minimally invasive spine surgery procedures, including kyphoplasty and disc replacement. BioSpine Institute includes four physicians in total: Frank S. Bono, DO; James J. Ronzo, DO; Jay Reichbach, MD, and Marc Notrica, MD.
Bluegrass Specialty Surgery Center (Lexington, Ky.). The surgery center recently added two orthopedists and one podiatrist. The center was developed by Bluegrass Orthopaedics physicians and opened in 2006. It is AAAHC-accredited, and it is partnered with SurgCenter Development. Its physicians offer outpatient surgical services for the full spectrum of musculoskeletal conditions.
Hagerstown (Md.) Surgery Center. The ASC recruited five physicians in the past year, four specializing in podiatry and one in pain management. The surgery center was established in 2010 by a multidisciplinary team of physicians and administrative personnel. It is licensed by the state of Maryland and affiliated with SurgCenter Development. The center's physicians offer care in a number of specialties, such as ENT and orthopedics.
Timonium (Md.) Surgery Center. The facility added a total of four physicians, three ENT physicians and one ophthalmologist. The ASC is licensed by the state of Maryland, accredited by AAAHC and affiliated with SurgCenter Development. It was established in 2009 by hospital and clinical personnel. It provides care in numerous specialties, including general surgery, spine, ophthalmology, ENT and pain management.
Mile High Surgery Center (Greenwood Village, Colo.). The SurgCenter Development-partnered ASC recruited five physicians in the last year, specializing in spine and orthopedics. The 7,000-square-foot facility is accredited with The Joint Commission and licensed by the state of Colorado. In addition to orthopedics and spine, the surgery center provides services in general surgery, oculoplastics and interventional pain management.
South Ogden (Utah) Surgery Center. The surgery center added four physicians in the fields of orthopedics and podiatry. Established in 2014, the center is licensed by the state of Utah. The center's physicians focus on orthopedics, podiatry and oral surgery. The ASC is a SurgCenter Development partner.
