Advanced Endoscopy Center (Vancouver, Wash.). The practice's three physicians have collectively performed over 20,000 procedures in their careers. They use CO2 gas to minimize pain during and after procedures.
Advanced Endoscopy of Center (New York City). Celebrating its 10-year anniversary in May 2017, this center currently has 22 GI physicians on staff. It is a joint venture with Montefiore Medical Center, physicians and Physicians Endoscopy. The center received an ASGE Center of Excellence designation.
Advanced Surgery Center of Long Island (Port Jefferson, N.Y.). This dual-specialty ASC opened in 2014 and strives to offer underserved communities medical care. The center received an ASGE Center of Excellence designation.

Arkansas Surgery & Endoscopy Center (Pine Bluff). The center has served Arkansas residents for more than 17 years. Syed Samad, MD, is the founder and sole physician. Augusta Endoscopy Center (Evans, Ga.). Eleven physicians practice out of the Gastroenterology Consultants of Augusta. The center has made several quality metrics available on its website, reporting a cecal intubation rate of 98 percent, 3 percent higher than national average. Avamar Gastroenterology & Center for Endoscopy (Warren, Ohio). Founded in 1999 as an ASC solely dedicated to GI endoscopy, this center includes two physicians. It is certified by Medicare and accredited by AAAHC.
AZ West Endoscopy Center (Phoenix). This three-room facility has received Gold Seal National Quality Accreditation from The Joint Commission. Originally developed by a four-physician coalition, the center teamed up with Physicians Endoscopy to improve its practice management.
Berks Center for Digestive Health (Wyomissing, Pa.). This GI-specific ASC has been recognized by ASGE's Endoscopic Recognition Program. Established in 2001, its 17 providers perform over 18,000 procedures annually.
Burlington County Endoscopy Center (Lumberton, N.J.). Seven physicians staff this ASGE-recognized center. The center is affiliated with Gastroenterology Consultants of South Jersey.
Carnegie Hill Endoscopy Center (New York City). This center received the NYC Department of Health's Community Cares Project Award for providing screening colonoscopies to uninsured New York City residents since 2012. The center won the APEX award for consistently garnering patient satisfaction approval ratings of over 98 percent. The center received an ASGE Center of Excellence designation.
Central Arizona Endoscopy (Mesa, Ariz.). Central Arizona Endoscopy includes three physicians, including David B. Leff, DO, who serves on the medical advisory board for the American Liver Foundation's Southwest Chapter. The center is AAAHC-accredited.
Central Jersey Ambulatory Surgery Center (Hillsborough, N.J.). ASGE recognized this center through its Endoscopic Recognition Program. Eight physicians staff the center including Alan Gingold, MD, who was named a Castle Connolly Regional Top Doctor in 2015.
Dekalb Endoscopy Center (Decatur, Ga.). This center includes six board-certified gastroenterologists specializing in a wide range of GI diseases and disorder treatment. Dekalb Endoscopy Center opened in 1976 and currently has three endoscopy suites and nine recovery beds.
DHA Endoscopy Center (Stoneham, Mass.). The ASC offers esophagus, stomach, colon, gallbladder, liver and pancreas care for patients from the greater Boston area. The center's director, Jean Chaput Welch, is a Society of Gastroenterology Nurses and Associates mentor for new GI nurse managers. Two of DHA Endoscopy's physicians were named among Boston Magazine's "Best of Boston" for gastroenterology.
Digestive Disease & Nutrition Center of Westchester & New York Endoscopy Center (White Plains, N.Y.). This ASC was founded in 2006 and currently includes seven specialty physicians. The center features the Orbera Gastric Balloon.
Digestive Disease Endoscopy Center (Normal, Ill.). Digestive Disease Endoscopy Center's Robert E. Clark, MD, was recently named Physician of the Quarter by Normal, Ill.-based Advocate BroMenn Medical Center. The AAAHC-accredited center features the Olympus EVIS EXERA III video endoscopy platform.
Digestive Health Center of Huntington (N.Y.). This center serves roughly 5,000 patients each year and includes 11 physicians. Opened in late 2002, Digestive Health Center of Huntington is a freestanding facility.
East Side Endoscopy and Pain Management Center (New York City). ESNY is an ASGE Center of Excellence and accredited by AAAHC, licensed by the New York State Department of Health and certified by Medicare. Brett Bernstein, medical director of the center, is a member of the board of managers for ASGE and GIQuIC, the GI Quality Improvement Consortium.
Eastside Endoscopy Center (Bellevue and Issaquah, Wash.). The center includes two locations, and in both physicians use CO2 to reduce cramping and abdominal pain after procedures. Ten physicians practice at the ASC, including members of the American College of Gastroenterology, American Gastroenterological Association and American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.
Elgin (Ill.) Gastroenterology Endoscopy Center. Lawrence Kosinski, MD, the managing partner of Illinois Gastroenterology Group which this ASC is a part of, helped develop physician-focused payment models approved by the federal Physician-Focused Payment Model Technical Advisory Committee. The Medicare-certified center includes 10 physicians.
Endoscopy Center at Robinwood (Hagerstown, Md.). This ASC is staffed by seven physicians. Endoscopy Center at Robinwood opened in 2002 and currently includes four procedure rooms. The center is accredited by AAAHC.
Endoscopy Center at St. Mary (Langhorne, Pa.). This ASC opened in 2006 and is a joint venture between St. Mary Medical Center in Langhorne, Physicians Endoscopy and a group of physician owners. The AAAHC-accredited center is staffed by 10 physicians.
Endoscopy Center of Bucks County (Newtown, Pa.). Endoscopy Center of Bucks County has cared for patients since 1990. It currently includes five physicians and is affiliated with St. Mary Medical Center in Langhorne, Pa.
Endoscopy Center of Niagara (Niagara Falls, N.Y.). Twelve providers practice out of the Endoscopy Center of Niagara. Part of the larger Gastroenterology Associates practice, the Niagara center was awarded a 2016 Apex Quality Award for patient satisfaction.
Endoscopy Center of Western Colorado (Grand Junction). Part of Gastroenterology Associates of Western Colorado, Masi Khaja, MD, and Shabana Shahid, MD, are the staff physicians at the center. Physicians recently began to offer PillCam capsule endoscopy.
Endoscopy Center of Western New York (Buffalo). Eleven physicians practice out of this Buffalo-based Gastroenterology Associates affiliate. Christopher Bartolone, MD, and Raymond Tuoti, MD, were voted as two of Buffalo Spree Magazine's "Top Doctors for 2017." Buffalo Business First named the center as one of the top ASCs in the area.
Garden State Endoscopy Center (North Bergen, N.J.). Garden State Endoscopy Center has 11 physician partners on staff led by Medical Director Ricardo Rodriguez, MD. The center expanded from two to three operating rooms in 2016. It expects to host 13,200 procedures in 2017.
Gastro-Intestinal Associates & The Endoscopy Center of West Central Ohio (Lima). With seven providers on staff, Gastro-Intestinal Associates & The Endoscopy Center of West Central Ohio participates in several clinical trials. The Endoscopy Center is the only one in Lima, Ohio, to be recognized as part of the ASGE Quality Endoscopy Unit Recognition Program.
GI Associates & Endoscopy Center (Flowood, Miss.) The largest gastroenterology group in Mississippi has three locations and more than 320 employees across Mississippi. With 27 gastroenterologists and three pathologists on staff, this AAAHC-certified center was also awarded an ASGE Center of Excellence Designation through the Quality Endoscopy Unit Recognition Program.
Greater Gaston Endoscopy Center (Gastonia, N.C.). A Physicians Endoscopy partner, Greater Gaston Endoscopy Center has four providers. William S. Watkins, MD, and Samuel T. Drake, MD, are the center's co-medical directors.
Greenwood (S.C.) Endoscopy Center. Owned by Digestive Disease Group, PA, the center is accredited by AAAHC. DDG has five board-certified gastroenterologists on staff, including senior partner Matthew Bachinski, MD.
Hackensack (N.J.) Endoscopy Center. Affiliated with United Surgical Partners International, this center has two treatment rooms. The center is AAAHC-accredited. Ten gastroenterologists are on staff, and the administrator is Aaron Shechter.
Hudson Valley Center for Digestive Health (Cortlandt Manor, N.Y.). The center for digestive health is a joint venture with NewYork Presbyterian/Hudson Valley Hospital, physician owners and Physicians Endoscopy. Hudson Valley Center for Digestive Health received the APEX award for patient satisfaction approval ratings consistently over 99 percent. The Joint Commission accredited the center.
Island Digestive Health Center (West Islip, N.Y.). This American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities-accredited facility features five physician partners. The center opened in October 2015 through a partnership with Good Samaritan Hospital in West Islip.
Kalamazoo Endo Center (Portage, Mich.). The single-specialty ASC specializes in GI endoscopy. Five providers practice out of the AAAHC-accredited center. The center has a defined mission statement centered on promoting gastrointestinal health and delivering excellent clinical care.
La Peer Surgery Center (Beverly Hills, Calif.). The La Peer Surgery Center features the Colonoscopy Center of Excellence, a gastroenterology department, and the Reflux Center of Excellence. La Peer began using the Third Eye Panoramic Colonoscopy device in April 2017. La Peer's 21 surgeons and gastroenterologists performed more than 6,000 cases at the center in 2016.
Laredo (Texas) Digestive Health Center. Physicians at this independent ASC has performed more than 20,000 procedures over the past six and a half years. Laredo Digestive Health Center frequently collaborates with pathology group MIRACA, which specializes in gastrointestinal specimen readings. Elsa Canales, MD, and Anthony Galan, MD practice out of the center.
Liberty Ambulatory Surgery Center (Jersey City, N.J.). This United Surgical Partners International-affiliate is accredited by The Joint Commission. Liberty Ambulatory Surgery Center has three operating rooms and one treatment room to accommodate Gi procedures in addition to orthopedics, pain management, ENT and vascular surgery. Michael Pham, MD, serves as the center's medical director.
Liberty Endoscopy Center (New York City). Opened in 2017, this single-specialty ASC is 11,000 square feet. Featuring eight physicians, the center hosts procedures like push-enteroscopy. The center also has onsite anesthesia directed by Gerald Park, MD.
Lone Star Endoscopy-Flower Mound (Texas). Lone Star Endoscopy is part of Texas Digestive Disease Consultants, the largest gastroenterology practice in the U.S. With 122 providers, TDDC spans Texas with more than 60 locations throughout the state.
Lone Star Endoscopy (Keller, Texas). Another Texas Digestive Disease Consultants affiliate, the Lone Star Endoscopy-Keller is one of 20 in Texas. The center's mission revolves around providing excellent medical care to patients in an effective, compassionate and dignified manner.
Long Island Center for Digestive Health (Garden City, N.Y.). This AAAHC-accredited center received the APEX award for earning patient satisfaction approval ratings consistently over 98 percent. The center received an ASGE Center of Excellence designation.
Manhattan Endoscopy Center (New York City). With more than 30 providers, this center is Joint Commission-certified and an ASGE-designated Center of Excellence. In addition, Manhattan Endoscopy Center is a member of New York City's Colonoscopy Quality Benchmarking program. The center provides free screenings to New York City's underserved populations.
MemorialCare Digestive Care Center in Laguna Hills (Calif.). An affiliate of Fountain Valley, Calif.-based MemorialCare Health System, the Digestive Care Center is one of three gastroenterology-facing centers in the MemorialCare system. The Laguna Hills location specializes in digestive studies featuring a gastrointestinal lab and a bowel disorder and motility center.
MemorialCare Outpatient Surgical Center, Long Beach (Calif.). With 13 gastroenterologists on staff, the Long Beach surgery center primarily hosts outpatient gastrointestinal/endoscopy procedures. The center opened in 1994.
Menomonee Falls (Wis.) Ambulatory Surgery Center. This AAAHC-accredited facility features five operating rooms, four minor procedure rooms and a laser eye procedure room. The center also has a post-anesthesia care unit that's staffed to accommodate patients as they recovery. The center is driven to provide quality care while being cost conscious.
Michigan Endoscopy Center (Farmington Hills, Mich.). This physician-owned endoscopy center has six surgical suites. The center opened in 2003 and features 20 providers splitting time between the Farmington Hills and Novi (Mich.) locations.
Michigan Endoscopy Center at Providence Park (Novi, Mich.). This Novi, Mich.-based center opened in 2014. It's the sister center to Michigan Endoscopy Center's Farmington Hills location. Both centers are AAAHC-accredited.
Mid-Bronx Endoscopy Center (New York City). This Physicians Endoscopy-affiliated center is expected to open in June 2017. It'll feature four operating rooms and will be Joint Commission-accredited. The center was developed as a collaborative effort between eight physicians, Morris Heights Federal Health Clinic, Bronx Lebanon Hospital, Advanced Endoscopy Center, all based in the Bronx, as well as Physicians Endoscopy.
Middlesex Endoscopy Center (Middletown, Conn.). The single-specialty practice has three physicians practicing out of an office location and performing operations at the Middletown-based center. The center has a specialty infusion suite that provides remicade infusions and employs breath testing to help diagnose patients with certain disorders.
Mississippi Valley Endoscopy Center (Davenport, Iowa). Established in 2004, the endoscopy center includes seven physicians. The center was recognized by ASGE through its Endoscopy Unit Recognition Program in 2014. The endoscopy center is a part of Mississippi Valley Surgery Center, and together the two facilities host 9,000 procedures a year.
Northern New Jersey Center for Advanced Endoscopy (Englewood Cliffs, N.J.). The 8,500-square-foot Northern New Jersey Center for Advanced Endoscopy is a joint venture between two practice groups, Englewood (N.J.) Hospital and Medical Center and Physicians Endoscopy. The center is accredited by the Joint Commission, licensed by the New Jersey Department of Health and certified by Medicare. It is in the process of obtaining its center of excellence recognition from ASGE.
Northwest Endoscopy Center (Bellingham, Wash.). Northwest Endoscopy is an ambulatory surgery facility and sister company of Northwest Gastroenterology. NW Gastro includes nine fellowship-trained physicians who all provide care at NW Endo.
Northwest Michigan Surgery Center (Traverse City). The multispecialty center includes eight GI physicians. The AAAHC-accredited center is a two-time recipient of the APEX Quality Award for patient satisfaction.
Outpatient Services East Surgery Center (Birmingham, Ala.). Opened in 1985, the 32,000-square-foot Outpatient Services East Surgery Center has grown from 13 staff members to over 90 staff members. It includes nine gastroenterologists. The facility features six operating rooms and nine procedure rooms.
Palisade Surgery Center (Fort Lee, N.J.). The multispecialty Palisade Surgery Center offers three types of GI procedures, and is Joint Commission-accredited and CMS-certified. The facility can accommodate 20 visiting observers, via video conference\ technology. The center also offers 23-hour stays.
Pend Oreille Surgery Center (Ponderay, Idaho). The AAAHC-accredited Pend Oreille Surgery Center opened in 2009. By 2015, 54 percent of its cases were endoscopy procedures. The facility includes five physician owners.
Piedmont Healthcare Endoscopy Center (Statesville, N.C.). The endoscopy center includes four board-certified physicians. In 2015, the center earned reaccreditation from AAAHC. The facility was the first in the state to acquire the Endora Scope Tracking System, which monitors the disinfection process.
Premier Endoscopy (Clifton, N.J.). The Medicare-certified Premier Endoscopy is licensed by the state of New Jersey. It includes eight gastroenterologists.
Princeton (N.J.) Endoscopy Center. The AAAHC-accredited Princeton Endoscopy Center is a joint venture between Princeton Gastroenterology Associates, University Medical Center at Princeton and Surgical Health Group. Six physicians perform procedures at the facility.
Putnam Gastroenterology (Carmel, N.Y.). The single-specialty Putnam Gastroenterology features two operating rooms. It was opened in 2012, and is AAAHC-accredited and licensed by the state. The center is affiliated with Physicians Endoscopy.
Queens Boulevard Endoscopy Center (Rego Park, N.Y.). Opened in 2013, Queens Boulevard Endoscopy Center includes five physicians. The center also features four operating rooms. AAAHC accredited the facility, which is affiliated with Physicians Endoscopy.
Queens Endoscopy ASC (Fresh Meadows, N.Y.). A Physicians Endoscopy ASC, Queens Endoscopy ASC opened in 2013. The Joint Commission accredited the ASC, which received recognition from ASGE. Armand V. Asadourian, MD, who provides care at the center, received the Doctor of the Year award by the Romanian Medical Society.
Rockford (Ill.) Gastroenterology Associates. The practice includes a freestanding endoscopy center. It has received the ASGE Certificate of Recognition of Quality in Endoscopy and is AAAHC-accredited. All RGA physicians are on the faculty at University of Illinois College of Medicine-Rockford.
Salem (Ore.) Endoscopy Center. Accredited by AAAHC, Salem Endoscopy Center boasts a 53 percent adenoma detection rate among men and a 42 percent rate among women. Physician-owners of Salem Gastro also own and operate Salem Endoscopy Center. All nine Salem Gastro physicians perform procedures at the center.
Skyline Endoscopy Center (Loveland, Colo.). Skyline Endoscopy Center includes four gastroenterologists who provide care to 413 patients per month on average, according to 2015 data. The center's average adenoma detection rate among men is 53.5 percent and among women is 40 percent. Based on 2015 data, the center's colonoscopy perforation rate is one in 4,951.
South Broward Endoscopy (Cooper City, Fla.). The AAAHC-accredited South Broward Endoscopy has won the National Apex Quality Award for quality of care twice. The center was also recognized by EndoNurse Magazine in its Endo All-Stars section. Eight physicians comprise the center's medical staff.
SurgCenter of Western Maryland (Cumberland). The AAAHC-accredited ASC was established in 2011. The multispecialty center includes two gastroenterologists. The center is affiliated with SurgCenter Development.
Surgical and Endoscopy Center of Bergen County (Paramus, N.J.). Part of Hackensack (N.J.) University Medical Center, Surgical and Endoscopy Center of Bergen County features three operating rooms. The center is affiliated with United Surgical Partners International and accredited by AAAHC. The facility has a 97 percent patient satisfaction rate.
Surgicare of Oradell (N.J.). The multispecialty surgery center, a Sovereign Health facility, includes four GI physicians. The CMS-certified facility includes three operating rooms and encompasses 12,900 square feet of space. The center is also accredited by AAAHC.
Surgicare of Wayne (N.J.). The AAAHC-accredited ASC includes nine gastroenterologists. It also features seven preoperative chairs, three operating rooms and six post-anesthesia care unit beds. The center is a Sovereign Health facility.
The Endoscopy Center at Bainbridge (Chagrin Falls, Ohio). The Endoscopy Center at Bainbridge — which also has a location South Euclid, Ohio, called University Suburban Endoscopy Center — is affiliated with Cleveland-based University Hospitals and Physicians Endoscopy. The center includes a community outreach program that aims to ensure patients have access to GI care, even those who are underinsured or uninsured.
WestSide GI (New York City). The 13,000-square-foot center includes five procedure rooms. The facility recently received its permanent licensure from the New York State Department of Health. Opened in 2012, WestSide GI is accredited by AAAHC and certified by Medicare.
