"As time has gone by we have developed specific protocols that surround spine patients and these processes drive a successful program. With that protocol-driven, patent-centric care, we have continued to expand the spine service line provided at both facilities to the current high-acuity mix of spinal surgery that we do on a daily basis," says Ms. Reiter.
The centers' most common procedures include lumbar micro decompression and discectomy; anterior cervical discectomy and fusion (at one or several levels); artificial disc replacement; and posterior cervical decompressions. In the future, DISC plans to continue focusing on streamlining the process to maximize team performance. Additionally, Diagnostic and Interventional Surgery Center is also expanding its orthopedic service lines and looking to incorporate total joint replacements.
