Plaza ASC (Portland). The surgery center added total joint replacement procedures and spinal fusion procedures in March 2015. The center is a joint venture between Providence Portland Medical Center, 26 physicians and Regent Surgical Health. It is located on the Providence Portland Medical Center campus. It offers surgical services in podiatry, pain management, ENT, orthopedics, urology, neurology and general surgery. Regent also manages the ASC's operations.

The Center for Specialized Surgery (Fort Myers, Fla.). The ASC added total joint replacements in October 2015. The center encompasses 9,102 square feet and features three operating rooms, as well as a recovery station, nurse station, consultation room and administrative offices. The center's physicians offer the full-spectrum of musculoskeletal care.

Good Samaritan Surgery Center (Mount Vernon, Ill.). The surgery center added sterilization procedures for men and women, including Medicaid patients, in October 2015. The center is accredited by Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care and features three operating rooms and one treatment room. The center's physicians provide a wide-array of treatments, including anesthesia, orthopedics, gynecology, urology, pain management, spine, ophthalmology and gastroenterology, among others. The ASC is fully licensed by the state of Illinois and is Medicare-certified.

Coral Gables Surgery Center (Miami). The surgery center added spine services in January 2015. The center transitioned from primarily an eye center – 72 percent of its cases were eye surgery procedures in 2014 – to having a more diversified case mix, with significant increases in orthopedic, spine and pain management cases.

"We are no longer 'just an eye center,' and this has increased our exposure in the community and helped us in attracting other surgeons in many specialties," says Maria Freed, MHSA, administrator of the center. "This year, 35 percent of credentialed active-status surgeons are new to the CGSC medical staff."

The ASC is a Meridian Surgical Partners facility, opened in 2003. The 9,000-square-foot facility includes two operating rooms and one procedure room. In addition to ophthalmology, spine and orthopedics, it offers care in a number of specialties including gynecology, urology and general surgery.
