Ambulatory Surgery Center of Manhattan names Dr. David Levine medical director: 5 key notes

The Ambulatory Surgery Center of Manhattan named David S. Levine, MD, medical director, according to a Digital Journal report.

 

Here are five things to know:

1. New York City-based Hospital for Special Surgery will open the Ambulatory Surgery Center of Manhattan in July.

2. The new center will be more than 22,000 square feet and include four operating rooms.

3. Dr. Levine is an orthopedic surgeon focused on foot and ankle surgery. He attended medical school at Weill Cornell Medical College and completed a fellowship in orthopedic trauma and reconstructive surgery of the foot and ankle at Harborview Medical Center and the University of Washington Medical Center in Seattle.

4. The surgery center will focus on orthopedics and is located a short distance from Hospital for Special Surgery's main campus.

5. Dr. Levine is an assistant professor of orthopedic surgery at Weill Cornell Medical College and is affiliated with the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
