Remember the 70s? — AGA launches colorectal screening campaign

The American Gastroenterological Association is asking people if they can dig colorectal cancer screenings with a 70s-themed awareness campaign.

Here's what you should know.

1. The AGA established a website devoted to colorectal cancer awareness asking visits if they "Remember the 70s?"

2. Featuring iconic 70s inventions like the Altari, Viewmaster wheels and Alfred E. Neuman, the AGA recommends people 50 years old and older begin undergoing colorectal screenings through any available method.

3. With one out of three adults falling behind in colorectal screenings, the public campaign aims to build awareness about a preventable disease.

4. The AGA developed a colorectal cancer health guide, available here, detailing the disease and prevention options.
