Given Imaging received FDA 510(k) clearance for the PillCam SB 3, a device used to detect and monitor small bowel abnormalities from Crohn's disease, as well as obscure gastrointestinal bleeding and iron deficiency anemia.
The PillCam SB 3 is designed to provide a more detailed image of the bowel than previous versions, with a 30 percent improvement in image resolution, an improved processing engine and a 40 percent more efficient video compilation software.
