Oregon House passes legislation requiring follow-up colonoscopy coverage: 3 things to know

The Oregon House of Representatives has passed House Bill 2560, legislation that will require the state's payers to cover follow-up colonoscopy, according to a Portland Business Journal report.

Here are three things to know about the bill.

1. The bill will require payers to cover colonoscopy following a positive fecal screening test, according to the report.

2. Payers will be required to cover follow-up colonoscopy, including polyp removal.

3. Rep. Mitch Greenlick (D-District 33) is the legislation's sponsor.
