Mount Sinai Hospital and the New York Society of Gastroenterology partnered to host an educational program on Confocal Laser Endomicroscopy.
Here's what you should know.
1. Mount Sinai Hospital recently became the 14th hospital in the New York metro area to have a Cellvizio System installed.
2. The machine will help the hospital perform "real-time, non-invasive evaluation of GI tissues during interventional procedures on patients suffering from pancreatic and biliary diseases, as well as more general GI disorders," Director of Therapeutic Endoscopy at The Mount Sinai Hospital Christopher DiMaio said.
3. The hospital and the society held the program last week to demonstrate the use of laser endomicroscopy.
4. Mauna Kea Technologies, the maker of the Cellvizio System, continue to have their technologies adopted by "leading institutions in the United States," Founder and CEO Sacha Loiseau said.
